With the ILA (International Longshoremen’s Association) workforce interruption beginning at midnight last night, ConGlobal remains committed to maintaining our operations while respecting the rights and responsibilities of ILA workers. ILA union employees work at several of our locations, and we want to clarify how we will proceed if the strike occurs.

ConGlobal will keep our gates open to support non-jurisdictional activities at these port city facilities. However, out of respect for the ILA and its members, we will not engage in any ILA union jurisdictional work. While some operations will continue, no work traditionally handled by union members will be performed by non-union employees or contractors.

What We Will Continue:

Non-jurisdictional tasks that fall outside of union responsibilities.

• Intermodal Equipment Provider (IEP) bare chassis inbound only
• Container Leasing Companies, Traders, and Equipment Sales
• Domestic, BCO, and Trucker Equipment

Administrative and non-union operations to ensure our facilities remain functional and ready to resume services after the strike.

What We Will Not Do:

Perform any work that falls under ILA jurisdiction.

Handle tasks normally completed by ILA employees.

To assist our customers and partners during this time, we’ve outlined a list of affected locations and the work that is accessible during the workforce interruption:

Affected ConGlobal Locations

Charleston
Jacksonville
Houston LaPorte
Norfolk
Savannah

ConGlobal stands firm in our commitment to our employees, partners, and customers. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and provide updates as needed. For more information or specific inquiries, please get in touch with Marsel Oxhaku, ConGlobal: moxhaku@conglobal.com 708.391.0570.

ConGlobal Successfully Completes SOC 2 Assessment, Strengthening Commitment to Data Security

At ConGlobal, we are unwavering in our commitment to data security. We continually invest in security best practices to ensure our customer’s data stays safe and secure. As part of this ongoing effort, we are excited to announce that we’ve successfully completed our SOC 2 report.

To conduct the examination, we partnered with A-LIGN, a technology-enabled security and compliance firm trusted by more than 4,000 global organizations to help mitigate cybersecurity risks.

“Obtaining our SOC 2 report sends a clear signal to our customers, partners, and other stakeholders that we are a partner they can trust. And in a world of rising cyberattacks and uncertainties, trust and security are more critical than ever,” said Mark Mills, ConGlobal’s VP, Advanced Solutions.

What is SOC 2?

System and Organization Controls (SOC) is a widely recognized security standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) that specifies how organizations should manage customer data. A SOC 2 report is often the primary document that security departments rely on to assess a vendor’s ability to maintain adequate security. Rather than a cybersecurity assessment that evaluates specific technical configurations, a SOC 2 report focuses more on how an organization implements and manages controls to mitigate the identified risks to the different parts of an organization.

The SOC 2 audit evaluates an organization based on five Trust Services Criteria (TSC):

• Security
• Availability
• Processing Integrity
• Confidentiality
• Privacy

The Security criterion, also known as the “Common Criteria,” is mandatory in all SOC 2 reports and addresses controls related to information security, access management, vendor oversight, system backups, business continuity, and more. Organizations may also include additional criteria as part of their assessment.

What This Means for Our Customers

Our SOC 2 assessment ensures that ConGlobal has implemented industry-leading policies and procedures to mitigate cybersecurity risks effectively. This achievement reflects our proactive approach to protecting data and maintaining the highest levels of operational integrity.

ConGlobal will undergo annual SOC 2 assessments to ensure continued compliance and can provide the SOC 2 report to current and potential customers under a non-disclosure agreement.

December 4, 2024—ConGlobal has been selected to operate the first-ever container depot at Wonderful Industrial Park, strategically located in Shafter, California, in the state’s Central Valley. Serving the entire western United States and home to Fortune 500 companies, it is one of the most sustainability-focused logistics centers in the world. The Wonderful Industrial Park is owned and operated by The Wonderful Company and is among the largest privately held agriculture and real estate companies in the United States.

Starting December 9, ConGlobal will manage Wonderful Industrial Park’s container depot operations, offering a range of comprehensive services to its 23 tenants. Currently, the park features approximately 15 million square feet of developed space, with plans to exceed 50 million square feet upon completion. As part of this initiative, ConGlobal has positioned California-compliant equipment that aligns with the state’s sustainability goals and commitment to reduced emissions. This advanced equipment provides the following capabilities:

Handling both loaded and empty containers, with the ability to manage high volumes efficiently, ensuring smooth operations even during peak times.
Versatility to handle intermodal chassis, supporting a variety of tenant needs for diverse logistics operations.
Mobile maintenance and on-site repairs, minimizing downtime and ensuring equipment is always running at optimal performance.

ConGlobal’s operational support includes secure short- and long-term storage for both loaded and empty containers, with wheeled or stacked storage options to meet diverse tenant needs. In addition to storage, ConGlobal provides on-site maintenance, repair, and inspections, ensuring tenants have access to reliable, expertly maintained equipment. The team can service and repair containers, chassis, reefers, and gensets, and prepare refrigerated equipment for food-grade transport through thorough cleaning and pre-tripping.

To enhance operational efficiency, ConGlobal will install its AI-powered automated checkpoint system at the depot. This innovative technology quickly identifies equipment, authenticates drivers, and validates booking and mission details, significantly reducing turn times and streamlining depot entry and exit processes.

Wonderful Industrial Park tenants will also benefit from ConGlobal’s Aviro360 technology ecosystem, an advanced suite developed by operators for operators. These tools work seamlessly within the Aviro360 ecosystem to provide tenants with unparalleled visibility and operational efficiency. Key components include:

VeriSpot.io: A mobile inventory system mounted on existing site equipment, VeriSpot.io automates asset tracking during daily tasks without requiring additional headcount or infrastructure. By creating a realistic digital twin of the yard, it provides real-time visibility of equipment positioning and available slots. VeriSpot.io reduces operational costs, addresses common inventory challenges, and simplifies locating equipment within the yard.

Sight.io: A next-generation checkpoint system that automates gate processes. Combining Artificial Intelligence (AI), high-resolution imagery, and data inferencing, Sight.io authenticates site visitors, validates their business purpose, and identifies assets in seconds. By addressing ingress and egress security challenges, Sight.io reduces gate congestion and in-facility dwell times, ensuring a seamless flow of operations.

VeriStack.io is a stack management solution mounted on lifts or cranes that automates the tracking and placement of containers as they are stacked or moved. By continuously optimizing stack arrangements based on bookings and future appointments, VeriStack ensures containers are placed efficiently for easy retrieval. This means depot users experience faster access to containers with reduced wait times for drivers and fewer unnecessary moves, improving overall efficiency and visibility at the depot.

Together, these systems empower tenants with the tools to streamline logistics, reduce inefficiencies, and save money and time, delivering a smarter, more efficient way to manage operations.

ConGlobal’s services provide tenants with unmatched visibility, efficiency, and flexibility in managing logistics, inventory, and transportation. By combining hands-on operational expertise with cutting-edge technology, ConGlobal is proud to support Wonderful Industrial Park in becoming the premier logistics hub for the western United States.
